The friendliness of the staff all through the hotel. The quality of their food was excellent.
It is not disabled friendly.
The dinner in the Marconi Rest. Was very good
Badly in need of a coat of paint and my shower needed fixing !!
Myself and my partner really enjoyed the location, ambience, food and hospitality. We were delighted we chose this hotel and would gladly recommend it to our friends.
I found the staff very pleasant. A warm welcome awaited us. My daughter and I enjoyed our overnight stay in Foyles Hotel in the heart of Clifden. It is situated overlooking the square so you really are in the heart of all the activity. Super location, great price, and as it's an old more traditional hotel it exudes character and charm and as I said earlier a warm and friendly staff looked after us.
I found everything at the Foyles to my satisfaction,I arrived at 14.00 and could check in then which was very nice as my Room was ready..The Staff were very helpfull at all times and efficent and assisted me in telling me where I could Park my Car.Being in the centre of Clifden was great as there was lots to do and all close by.I will stay there again soon as I love the whole area and its very convienient to go to other places like Roundstone and Rynville etc
I have nothing to complain about at all.
The Foyles hotel was charming and beautiful. It had a historical atmosphere and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Very relaxing and right in the heart of shopping in Clifden.
A lovely family run hotel - people may say its not modern but has real irish charm- i love the fact they have the resident dog - Jack the labrodor so friendly- the marconi restaurant food was absoultly delicous. would also like to say how kind the manager was giving us a bigger room for my wife and son at no extra charge.
no lifts - but with all the lovely irish food needed the exercise
I loved the decor, the old fashioned tone & furniture, the old paintings, the history attached to the hotel. It's managed v well, I think. The food was great as was the location. The breakfast and dinner very tasty with lots of home made food.
The only quibble was the manner and tone of one of the receptionists.
The relaxed atmosphere, and breakfast was very good.
The absence of a car park is a big disadvantage especially where meter charges apply for street parking. I think the hotel should make guests aware of the fact that the Marconi restaurant is also owned by them and take reservations during the day seeing that they dont open until 6.00
relaxed atmostphere, great music in bar the night we were there, friendly bar staff, friendly dogs
I enjoyed the lovely food, the staff were very friendly and helpful. the location was great.
Ajoining Marconi Restaurant excellent.
Poor condition of bedroom and towels.
Convenient location, felt quite happy as a single female traveller, was able to sit reading in the lounge without being bothered. Very quiet in room even though there was live music downstairs.
Room and bathroom were in urgent need of re-decoration, with miss-matched heavy furniture, scuffed wallpaper and chipped paintwork. Bed was clean and extremely comfortable; bathrom was very clean but shabby. Plenty of hot water.
Lots of noise - we could not sleep until 4am. Attracts a rowdy clientele - not suitable for familys. Very dated decor.
Good location, friendly staff, old worldly and comfortable
Just the price
